Canon schema vocabulary
extends schema.org/Thing
An IP Prefix is a contiguous block of IP addresses expressed in CIDR notation, such as 8.8.8.0/24, that is allocated by a Regional Internet Registry and announced into BGP by one or more Autonomous Systems. On Whisper Internet Directory, each prefix is published at /prefix/{cidr} as a schema.org Thing, carrying its RIR allocation country, the ASNs that announce it, and any Multiple-Origin-AS (MOAS) conflict — sourced from BGP routing and RIR allocation data in WhisperGraph.
This page is the canonical definition of the IP Prefix type in the Whisper Internet Directory vocabulary. Every /prefix entity page references it from its structured data via the additionalType field, extending the schema.org Thing base type so crawlers and LLMs can resolve the Canon-specific meaning of the entity.
